Well, as a friend suggested I find a Starbucks for free wifi and the ability to plug in, I have found one not too far away, and yes, I can both access free wifi AND plug in. Who would have thought a cafe would offer free wifi, but no public outlets for people to plug in, Barnes & Noble needs to get with the program. Thank you Starbucks. a cup of tea is cheaper at Starbucks as well.
I went down to Waikiki today and picked up a Go Oahu Card, which gives me access to as many attractions I can fit in, in three days. So tomorrow I am going to go on a Grand Island tour. I was going to cheap out and take public transit, but thought having a tour guide to actually tell me what I'm looking at would be helpful. If I want to return to something later, then I can take the bus.
On Sunday I am going to go on a Honolulu City and Pearl Harbour tour in the day, and a Luau at night. My third day, which I'n not sure when I'm going to take it, I will go on a snorkeling tour in the morning and hit a few museums in the afternoon. The first two days more than pay for the card, and so whatever I can fit in on the third day is free. Yahoo Oahu!
I've been looking at things to do and I definitely want to hike Diamond Head crater and go to the Zoo.
There's also a huge movie screen set up on Waikiki beach and they show movies on the weekends. If you look really hard at this picture of Waikiki Beach you can just make out the metal square that is the movie screen frame.

Its rainy today (you may think that's bad, but it is still 75F degrees. I am loving being warm.
Here are a few pictures from the last couple of days.
My dear friends Angela & Milton whom I hadn't seen since 2000. Milton was the pastor of the church I attended while living in Toronto.
While walking around with Angela & Milton we stopped for a shade break near this amazing tree.
Palm trees at Waikiki Beach.
I've seen people with metal detectors on the beach before, but this guy was actually in the water.
You can't see in either picture but he has a metal detector rod in both hands, and he's going fairly deep.

Waikiki Beach with dark rain clouds overhead.
And just for fun here is a new nail polish I bought here, it is aptly called Waikiki Surf. These are new flip-flops I bought as well, very comfy for walking around.
Aloha until next post.
